I am seeking information on Joseph C FRUEN, born about 1834 to 1836 in England, possibly London. I have seen his name spelled FRUIN and today, for the first time: FRAIN.

Joseph is on the 1860 census of Monroe County Arkansas, USA as Joseph C Frain. He is listed in a household three doors away from Cordelia Dickerson, the woman he married in 1861.

I feel as though I am searching for a needle in a haystack with this ancestor. I have no parent or sibling names for him, so I have no way to connect him back to England. I don't know when he came to USA or where he entered the country. The 1860 census is the earlist documentation on him.

There is a Joseph Fruin listed on the IGI, baptized in 1836 at St John's, in Thanet, Kent. This is the right age for my Joseph; but, not knowing who his parents are doesn't help to make the connection.
