I have just taken another look at my atlas to see what the closest matches to Fruin are in the UK.

The nearest names I could find are Fring in Norfolk, Friern Barnet in London, Fryern Hill in Hants, Fryerning in Essex and Frome in Somerset. Nothing particularly near to Fruin there.

A Glen Fruin in Scotland has been mentioned on this board before, but it doesn't appear in my atlas.

There is a Fruen Road in Feltham, Middlesex, (with a longstanding Fruin/Fruen presence in the area) and a Frewin Road in Wandsworth, London, (with a minor Frewin presence in the Vistorian period there too).

I have no idea how either road came to be so named, but roads are often named after local Councillors in London (one of the few perks of office I guess!).
