One of our ancestors is said to have "died in Africa". We
have since learned that he sailed on the ship "Susan" on
Nov. 6, 1845 for Algoa Bay, Cape of Good Hope. His name was
Charles Frewing and that is all we know of him. We don't
know if he lived for awhile, had a family or anything like
that. If in your research you see someone with the name
Frewing you would let me know I would be very grateful.
Unfortunately, I don't have anything more on Frewin. It is
possible that our Charles was going to South Africa to meet
and work with relatives already down there. The names were
so interchangeable back then there could be a connection.
