Mike:

I would like to know about your FRUINs. My great grandmother was Bessie Fruin. She was born in England on 15-JUN-1861 to Irish parents (Mr. and Mrs. John Fruin). Family history has it that the Fruins were from County Tipperary, Ireland. The family settled in Keokuk-Lee Co.-Iowa-United States about 1864. I know that Bessie had 3 sisters: Nellie Fruin Bregenzer, Mary Fruin O'Shea, and Mrs. J.T. Fitgerald. She had brothers; but I don't know their names. Bessie married Charles Theodore Samuels in 1885 and they raised a family of 7 children in the Keokuk-Iowa area. Does this sound familiar? Or can you direct me to other Fruin researchers or families? Thanks for your help!

Thanks again,
Theresa Sherrill Reiter
