I have checked our online database and also rechecked the 1901 census but I can't find the Frewin's you mention.
We do have a few Frewins and Fruins who are connected with Deal, Kent, one of them is mentioned in this message for example:
but there is no records for an Ena, Eva, Edna, or Edith or Dorothy so far.
There certainly haven't been many Frewin's or Fruins in Kent, so if the two people you mention were born or lived there I imagine we will eventually uncover them, so keep an eye on this thread.
: I have an old birthday book which was my grandmother's (b. 1891 in Kent, lived there & London, not a Frewin), which contains the entries;
Feb 14 - Ena (Eva?)Dorothy Frewin, 1896 and Feb 6 - Edith Lilian Frewin.
The following notes might or might not be connected:
- an old photo, Marked "Ena (Eva) and Edith (no surname), postmarked Deal, Kent, in 1906 shows a girl aged about 13 and a young woman. and
- I'm told that a relative, Elizabeth Rose (b. Kent 1866), had a daughter Edith, who had children called Cathy and Lionel (b. abt 1915), surnames unknown.
Does anyone know any more details about Ena and Edith?
