: My great grandfather was John Albert Frewin and my mum, Julia Frewin, is his granddaughter. She and I still live in Fulham. Does anyone have any information about the history of my family in Fulham?
We don't seem to have anything on your relatives so far, and for one good reason; I think the relatives you mention were born post 1901 which means the public records are not yet available for us to have picked them up yet.
Public records are generally held back for 100 years, which is why the 1901 census has only just been released for example. The same tends to be true of most other resources available to family researchers.
If the family members you mention were born after 1901 then we almost certainly won't have any details on them unless someone else has left a message here.
If you can find out the name of your relatives born before 1901 we may be able to link you to other family trees that we have assembled for the period prior to 1901 from censuses, parish records etc.
Try talking to any elderly relations in the family to get details of the earliest members of your family. You can then find out their parents names by ordering a birth certificate for them from the General Register Office here.
You can also try searching for your relatives on the GRO indexes free of charge here.
